Poppy on the Pier

In support of remembrance, Swanage Pier Trust is installing a large Poppy on the Pier, which will be lit up at night.

"It is important to take part in this event and pay tribute to the men and women who perished in the First World War" - Swanage Pier Trust chairman, Dave Laut.

Get Involved

To complete the installation we require your help, from Thursday 25th October we would like members of the public to come along and tie a piece of red fabric or ribbon onto the installation, as a sign of remembering the fallen.

The Pier has received a quantity of donated red fabric for this purpose. You are also welcome to bring your own along to truly personalise the Poppy. Any donations of red fabric ribbon and black nylon to the Pier would be most welcome.
