In Loving Memory of Jean (“Barnet”)
Our mum, Jean, passed away suddenly at Christmas—a season she treasured deeply. She was a wonderful mum and Nan and her absence made it hard for us to embrace the holidays. Affectionately known as Barnet for her perfectly kept hair, she left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
In 2021, when we noticed the Pier had no Christmas tree, our family chose to donate one each year in her memory. Thus began the tradition of the Memory Tree for Barnet, inviting all to hang a bauble in remembrance of their loved ones.
This tradition has brought us immense comfort, allowing us to honour her in a special way during Christmas. We hope it also offers others a chance to reflect and remember those they hold dear.
Each year, we are touched to see the tree adorned with so many unique and meaningful baubles. As we are unable to keep them, please feel free to collect your baubles after the New Year.
