By sponsoring a light in honour of someone special, you’re not only creating a moment of reflection and joy, but you’re also helping to raise vital funds for major restoration and maintenance work. Every light helps support the future of Swanage Pier, ensuring it remains a place of celebration, community and of historic interest for generations to come.

Dedicate a Light
As part of this heartfelt tradition, we invite you to dedicate a light to someone special or even a group you appreciate. With a suggested donation of
£12.00, you can honour a loved one, celebrate someone who inspires you, express gratitude or simply send festive wishes.
Each light will shine brightly in a stunning display along Swanage Pier and your personal dedication will be featured on our online Shine a Light page, creating a lasting tribute for all to see.
Your donation will directly support the major restoration and improvement work planned over the next few years, helping to preserve the Pier’s beauty and heritage for generations to come.

Lighting up Lives – ‘The Switch On’

Join us on Friday 5th December, from 5:30pm for the dazzling launch of Swanage Pier’s Christmas illuminations! Enjoy live music from local favo
urites Kelp! and a local choir (yet to be confirmed), soak up the festive atmosphere with roaming seasonal characters, and gather as our special guest arrives in style at 6:00pm to officially switch on the lights.
Step inside our Winter Wonderland marquee, where festive magic comes alive. Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo in Father Christmas’s sleigh or in our snowy mountain cable car, perfect for ca
pturing memories with family and friends.
Treat yourself to something delicious from the 1859 Café & Bistro, whether it’s a festive indulgence or a BBQ delight and browse our shop for unique gifts to make your Christmas extra special.
