Make sure to dress for the weather, walking boots are recommended. The walk will include hills and some steps.

The Tale of Two Piers Walk

Step back into the Victorian era with a gentle, engaging stroll along Swanage Pier. Follow in the footsteps of those who first enjoyed this iconic seaside landmark and experience the timeless pleasure of walking its historic wooden boards.
As you breathe in the fresh sea air and take in the sweeping coastal views, one of our Volunteers will bring the Pier’s story to life — from its early construction and industrial beginnings to the people, events and traditions that shaped it into the much loved attraction it is today.
Tours begin at the Gatehouse and normal pier admission applies.

Set sail on a memorable early evening circular cruise to Poole Harbour with Coastal Cruises, departing from the historic Swanage Pier. This relaxing voyage offers sweeping panoramas of sky, sea, and sand as you journey along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Jurassic Coast.
As the boat leaves Swanage, you’ll glide past the iconic chalk stacks of Old Harry Rocks, a landmark that never fails to impress. The cruise continues across the sheltered waters of Studland Bay, then along the golden shoreline of Sandbanks, before entering Poole Harbour—the largest natural harbour in Europe and a spectacular sight in the evening light.
Once in Poole, you’ll be served freshly cooked fish and chips on board, the perfect treat to enjoy as the boat begins
its return journey.

Depart from Swanage Pier: 6.30pm / Returns to Swanage: 9pm

Swanage Pier – Children’s History Tour

Swanage Pier is full of exciting stories and has been part of town life for generations.
Come along on a fun 45‑minute guided walk along the Pier and travel back in time! Follow in the footsteps of sailors and townsfolk as we uncover thrilling tales of pirates, smugglers, shipwrecks and even hidden treasure beneath the waves.
Perfect for curious adventurers aged 5 and over (accompanied by an adult).
Standard adult Pier admission applies.

Summer Yoga Classes on Swanage Pier
Starting from week commencing the 2nd June
Yoga on the Pier returns this summer for its eighth year. These sessions offer a joyful start to the day, a chance to connect with the Swanage community, and an opportunity to support the
Swanage Pier Trust.
Haṭha yoga includes asanas (postures), mudras and pranayama (breath control), helping to bring balance to the body, mind and nervous system. Even a few minutes of regular practice can support strength, stability, flexibility and a calmer mind.
All‑levels Guided Class
Tuesday mornings starting 2nd June until Tuesday 25th August : 8.00am–9.00am
Saturday 25th July : 5.30pm–6.30pm
A gentle guided flow suitable for all levels, including simple breathing techniques, standing and seated postures, and a guided relaxation. Each week focuses on a different element of practice to help deepen awareness of mind, body and breath. Variations are offered so everyone can move comfortably and safely.
All levels and abilities are welcome

- £40.00 for four classes (consecutive dates)
- £70.00 for six classes throughout the season

Intermediate Guided Class
Thursday mornings starting 4th June until Thursday 27th August : 8.00am–9.00am
(* no class on Thursday 25th June)
A more dynamic session with opportunities to explore stronger postures, breath awareness and movement practices, with an emphasis on building strength and stability. Includes a guided relaxation.
Suitable for those with a regular yoga practice seeking a more challenging class. Not suitable for beginners.
