In Memory Giving
Donating or fundraising in someone's memory is a very special and meaningful way to remember them – honouring their life and helping others at the same time. We are always incredibly touched and grateful to receive these donations.
You can support Swanage Pier Trust in memory of a loved one:
- Collect at a funeral or memorial
- Make a donation in their name
- Sponsor a plank
- Scatter their ashes off the pier
- Take on a fundraising challenge
Organising a collection
We know that organising a funeral can be a difficult time. It’s our hope that we can help make the funeral collection process as straightforward as possible. If you are organising a collection in memory of a loved one, we can provide collection envelopes to give to family and friends at the memorial service. These envelopes are a really effective way to donate as they are eligible for Gift Aid, this means any donation is boosted by an extra 25%.
Sending in a collection
When paying in donations, we’d like to make sure that we process and acknowledge the donation correctly, so please let us know the following:
- The name of the person the donation is being made in memory of
- Your name, address and relationship to the person the donation is being made in memory of
Please send or drop all cheques and collection envelopes to:
The Swanage Pier Trust, Marine Villas, High Street, Swanage, Dorset, BH19 2AP
When returning collection envelopes, please ensure they are sealed safely within another envelope before sending to the above address. If you have collected cash, please do not send this to us through the post. Please bank the cash and send us a cheque for the equivalent amount, or alternatively call us on 01929 425 806 for more help.
