Swanage Walking for Health run short walks in Swanage every Tuesday morning. The group usually split into two groups depending on the abilities of those attending, with one of the options being to walk on Swanage Pier.

Swanage Pier History Walks 

Tuesday 11th, Sunday 16th and Tuesday 18th February at 10.30am 

Friday 21st and Friday 28th February at 2.30pm 

Enjoy a tour following in the footsteps of the Victorians in a stroll along the pier, a pleasure that has been enjoyed by generations. Experience a breath of fresh air and great views while learning about the history of the pier told by one of our Volunteers.

Tours start at the gatehouse, normal admission applies to the Pier.

Wildlife above and below the Pier Trail

Saturday 15th - Sunday 23rd February 

9.00am - 4.00pm each day

Find out what is above and below the Pier on our wildlife trail. 

Hidden on the Pier are all different types of animals that you can find above and below the Pier, find them all and discover an interesting fact. How many can you find?

Paper Windmill Workshop at the Pier

Monday 17th February - 10.00am - 2.00pm

Make and decorate a paper windmill at Marine Villas and then take it up the Pier and see how fast it will go (wind dependent 💨).

No need to book, just turn up and have fun.
Voluntary Donation
Normal Adult Admission to the Pier applies. 


Let's go Crabbing on the Pie

Wednesday 19th February - Any time between 11am - 1.00pm

It's great fun dangling a line over the side of the Pier in the hope of catching the biggest crab but we also want to make sure our lovely crabs don’t get hurt in the process.
Come along on Wednesday 19th February any time between 11.00am-1.00pm, to find out how to crab safely, led by our lovely volunteers.

We will have some crabbing lines and buckets you can borrow but if you have your own then please bring them along (no hooks please). Bait will be provided.

Enquire when you arrive at the Pier and you will be pointed in the right direction.

0.50p per child
Adult admission to the Pier applies.


Swanage Pier Quiz Night 

Friday 28th February     

7.00pm for 7.30pm start 

Purbeck House Hotel 

Come along to our fun quiz night and raise money for Swanage Pier. £5.00 per person.

Teams of 6, individuals welcome.
