May

Swanage Pier Volunteer Recruitment Day

Saturday 18th May - 10.00am - 2.00pm

Volunteers are at the heart of Swanage Pier

Our volunteers provide hundreds of hours of support each month, without which  Swanage Pier would struggle to survive. Thanks to this support, the Pier looks as glorious today as it would have done over 120 years ago.

We welcome anyone with a few hours to spare, who likes meeting new people and wants to spend time supporting this amazing heritage site.

Volunteers get involved in all aspects of the Pier, from welcoming visitors at the gate, to Pier maintenance, as well as helping with events, education and serving customer in the gift shop.

This is why I volunteer ..........

'Learning more about the Pier, Swanage and the surrounding area including the sea, boats and wildlife'.

' Enjoy working in the shop meeting the customers - some of whom are very interesting with their long knowledge of the Pier’.

‘It is a lovely Pier and I feel privileged to help keep it going and help visitors enjoy it as much as I do’.

To find out more come along on Saturday 18th May between 10am-2pm and chat to one of our friendly team, to see how you can become a volunteer at Swanage Pier.
